Though IESE was founded in 1958 as the Graduate Business School of the University of Navarra, Europe's first two-year MBA program was launched only in 1964. Later in 1974, it setup its Madrid campus.

While most of the colleges activities are contained in the Barcelona and Madrid campuses, the executive programs are offered all over the world including Cairo, New York, Sao Paulo and Shanghai.
Just 20 minutes drive from Barcelona airport, the campus provides latest multimedia technology, a 700-seat auditorium, dining/cafeteria, meeting rooms and student computer rooms. Another 20 minute drive form the Madrid airport on the outskirts of the city that houses government buildings and mutilinational headquarters, the IESE campus has similar facilities to one at Barcelona.
